【NSTM’s collections】35mm Movie Projector in 1950s

It was used in movie theaters during 1950s.  The projectionist needed to use an electrically lighted carbon stick as the light source to project the film on the screen. The distance between the film and lighted carbon stick needed to be carefully adjusted to avoid causing of film burning or scintillation of images.  This projector was salved by Dr. Hsu, Re Liang of Cheng Shiu University from a closed theater in Hsin Chu and it was later donated to the NSTM in 2007.
