Cultural and Creative Product—Pig Lock

Locks have been present for thousands of years. The different materials and tools used as well as the culture of each era have deeply influenced the development of these locks. National Science and Technology Museum, in cooperation with ARNOS, has developed the worlds first hidden-keyhole puzzle lock with a stylish look of the Taiwanese domestic pig. This pig lock has a rounded body and big ears that symbolizes good fortune, hangs onto a circular ring and swings back and forth. The symbol「滿」is a symbol that the household will be “full” with food and clothing, and we have incorporated this symbol into our design hoping to bring a new year of full of blessings.
