Ticket/Time

Opening Hours：

  • The museum is closed on Mondays (excluding public and make-up holidays), Lunar New Year’s Eve, and Lunar New Year. Additional closing days will be announced separately.
  • The museum is open from 9 AM to 5 PM, with weekend hours extended until 6 PM during summer break.
  • Tickets for the exhibition galleries will be sold from 9 AM to 4 PM, with weekend hours extended until 5 PM during summer break.

Notice：

  1. Museum hours are 9AM – 5PM, ticketing hours are 9AM – 4PM
  2. Personal identification photo is required for membership card application. Free photography services are available at the museum. Applicants may also bring their own photo (must be clearly identifiable)
  3. Cost of tickets purchased for exhibitions on the day of visit cannot count towards the annual membership card fee if already used, but can be refunded prior to purchasing annual membership if unused.
  4. Proper ID must be presented to qualify for a concessionary or free ticket.
  5. Visitors who purchase an exhibition gallery ticket may have their hand stamped for free admission during the same day.
  6. Do not eat or drink outside of the restaurant or designated eating areas.
  7. Please keep your voices down in the exhibition galleries. Do not spit, litter, or run.
  8. We kindly request that you adhere to museum rules and handle exhibits with care. Visitors are accountable for any damages incurred in exhibit use, and your cooperation is greatly appreciated in preserving the exhibits.
  9. No pets (with the exception of service dogs) or hazardous materials allowed.
  10. Dress code applies.
  11. No indoor smoking allowed.
  12. Starting from August 1st, 2022, NSTM cards will be changed to virtual cards. If you need a physical card, please bring a personal store valued card (i.e. EasyCard or iPass) or other cards with RFID functionality to the information desk.
  13. NSTM Card Application Process:
    1. Step 1: Fill out the information and join the Science and Technology Museum membership at https://member.nstm.gov.tw/ .
    2. Step 2: Log in and click "Apply for NSTM card" and upload a personal photo taken within the past three months.
    3. Step 3: Activate the NSTM card immediately by paying online, or go to the information desk of the NSTM to complete the payment.
  14. Physical credit cards, EasyCards, iPASS, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Samsung Pay, Line Pay, and other digital payment services may be used for ticket purchases. For special facilities, cash payment and digital payment services such as iPASS, EasyCard, and Line Pay are accepted.

Notice：

  1. The audience may begin entering the theater 10 minutes before the movie begins and must leave once the movie ends. Seniors and those with disabilities may stay in the theater between movies if they have two consecutive session tickets.
  2. Multifunctional 3D Theater is not recommended for children under 3 years of age.
  3. Please silence all mobile devices in the Multifunctional 3D Theater.
  4. The NSTM reserves the right to adjust 3D movie ticket prices based on film length.

Discounted tickets

Customers purchasing more than 20 tickets at once can enjoy a discounted price of NT$30 per ticket. This discounted price is limited to purchases made at the information desk. Tickets have no expiration date and are non-refundable.

Special Facilities:

  1. Visitors must purchase a ticket for permanent exhibitions first.
  2. Please follow the instructions of on-site personnel.
  3. The opening hours and capacity of each facility will be displayed on-site.
  4. The operation of facilities may be temporarily suspended while under repair.

Tour Service：

  • Group Tour Reservation: Limited to groups of 20 people or more and must be booked 10 days in advance.
  • Holiday Public Tour Services: Tours that require no reservation during holidays will have set scheduling posted at the information desk or through 07-3800089 ext.8100.

Group Reservation：

  • Eligibility: Groups of 20 or more people are required to make a reservation on the NSTM website at least 10 days in advance. Users who are not logged in will be redirected to the login page.

  • Group Guided Tours: Available for groups of 20 or more people. Reservations must be made through the reservation website at least 10 days in advance. Guided tours are available in Mandarin Chinese and Taiwanese Hokkien. Guided tours in English are subject to review and confirmation.
