Ticket/Time

Opening Hours：

  • The museum is closed on Mondays, Lunar New Year's Eve and Lunar New Year (open on Monday if it is a public holiday or a make-up holiday). Other closing dates will be announced separately.
  • The museum is open from 9 AM to 5 PM, with extended hours until 6 PM on weekends during the summer vacation period.
  • Tickets for the exhibition galleries will be sold from 9 AM to 4 PM, and until 5 PM on weekends during the summer vacation period.
  • Multifunctional 3D Theater and ticketing times will be posted on the ticket booth as well as on the website.

Notice：

  1. The Museum is open between 9AM and 5PM.(Ticketing Hours: 9:00 ~ 16:00)
  2. A photo is required to apply for a membership card. Free photograph service is available at the Museum. Applicants may also bring their own photos (must be clearly identifiable).
  3. Tickets purchased for exhibitions on the day of visit cannot be applied toward the membership card fee if already used; however, if unused, they can be refunded prior to purchasing an annual card.
  4. Proper identification must be shown to qualify for a concession or free ticket.
  5. Visitors who purchase an exhibition gallery ticket may have their hand stamped for free admission during the same day.
  6. Do not eat or drink outside of the restaurant or designated eating areas.
  7. Please keep your voices down in the exhibition galleries. Do not spit or litter. No running.
  8. We kindly request that you adhere to museum rules and handle exhibits with care. Visitors are accountable for damages, and your cooperation is greatly appreciated in preserving the exhibits. Visitors are responsible for any damages incurred in exhibit use.
  9. Do not bring pets (except for the guide dog) or hazardous materials into the Museum.
  10. Dress code applies.
  11. No smoking within the Museum.
  12. Starting from August 1st, 2022, NSTM cards will be changed to online virtual cards. If you need a physical card, please bring your own Stored Value Cards (such as EasyCard or iPass) or other cards with RFID functionality to the information desk of the NSTM for binding.
  13. NSTM Card Application Process:
    1. Step 1: Fill out the information and join the Science and Technology Museum membership at https://member.nstm.gov.tw/ .
    2. Step 2: Log in and click "Apply for NSTM card" and upload a personal photo taken within the past three months.
    3. Step 3: Activate the NSTM card immediately by paying online, or go to the information desk of the NSTM to complete the payment.
  14. There are a variety of payment services for ticket purchases. It includes physical credit cards, EasyCards, iPASS, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Samsung Pay, Line Pay, and other digital payment services. For special facilities, in addition to cash purchases, we provide digital payment services such as iPASS, EasyCard, and Line Pay.

Notice：

  1. The audience may begin entering the theater 10 minutes before the movie begins and must leave once the movie ends. Seniors and those with disabilities may stay in the theater between movies if they have two consecutive session tickets.
  2. Multifunctional 3D Theater is not recommended for children under 3 years of age.
  3. Please put your cell phone on silent in Multifunctional 3D Theater.
  4. The NSTM reserves the right to adjust 3D movie ticket prices based on film length.

Discounted tickets

Customers purchasing more than 20 tickets at once can enjoy a discounted price of NT$30 per ticket. This discounted price is limited to purchases made at the information desk. Tickets have no expiration date and are non-refundable.

Special Facilities:

  1. Visitors must purchase a ticket for permanent exhibitions first.
  2. Please follow the instructions of the personnel on site.
  3. The opening hours and capacity of each facility will be shown on the on-site announcement.
  4. The operation of the facility may be temporarily suspended while under repair.

Tour Service：

  • Group Tour Reservation: Limited to groups of 20 people or more and must be booked 10 days in advance.
  • Holiday Public Tour Services: Tours that require no reservation during holidays will have set scheduling posted at the information desk or through 07-3800089 ext.8100.

Group Reservation：

  • Eligibility: Groups of 20 or more people are required to make a reservation on the NSTM website at least 10 days in advance. Users who are not logged in will be redirected to the login page.

  • Group Guided Tours: Available for groups of 20 or more people. Reservations must be made through the reservation website at least 10 days in advance. Guided tours are available in Mandarin Chinese and Taiwanese Hokkien. Guided tours in English are subject to review and confirmation.
