Carbon Inventory

In alignment with Taiwan’s "2050 Net-Zero Policy," the museum conducted a carbon emission inventory of its operational boundaries (excluding external facilities such as parking lots and restaurants). A greenhouse gas inventory report was released in April 2025 to guide subsequent strategies for building energy efficiency upgrades and equipment replacement.

Ice Storage System Replacement

Completed in June 2025, the replacement of the aging ice storage system—a major energy consumer—has significantly improved the energy efficiency of the central air conditioning system.

Building Energy Efficiency Assessment

Completed in October 2025, this assessment provides a foundation for ongoing efforts to achieve near-zero carbon building standards.

South Complex Substation Upgrade

Completed in December 2025, the replacement of high-voltage equipment has effectively reduced energy loss and improved overall energy efficiency.

Performance Summary

In 2025, total electricity consumption was 8.28 million kWh, representing a 4.8% reduction from 8.7 million kWh in 2023.
