  • Exhibition date: Permanent exhibition
  • Exhibition place:2F

Description

The “Smart Manufacturing Experience Zone” is located on different floors across the museum, covering exhibition halls such as  “Power and Machines” and  “ The Science of Cooking” on 2F, “Adventures in Health Land” and “Clothing and Textile Technology Exploration Hall” on 4F, and “The Story of Taiwan Agriculture” on B3F. The zone adheres to the concept of edutainment, introducing the development history and technical applications of “smart manufacturing “ in a comprehensive yet accessible manner.

The exhibition content covers five major themes, including;
  1. Industrial Robots and Smart Vehicles: Combining robotic arms and smart vehicles.
  2. Smart cooking: Helping busy modern people prepare a delicious meal more easily.
  3. Smart Healthcare: Integrating long-term care and telemedicine.
  4. Smart Wearables: Showcasing innovations in wearable technology
  5. Smart Agriculture: Applied to pig farming, poultry, and dairy industries.

This zone is suitable for all visitors interested in smart technology, providing an immersive interactive experience that allows you to personally feel how smart manufacturing is changing life and industry.

Register and log in to the “Mobile NSTM” website, https://mobile.nstm.gov.tw/ (currently available in Chinese only,) select an experience zone (such as “Smart Vehicles”), and then scan the QR code at the exhibit to start the interaction. Focus

  • Industrial Robot and Smart Car
    Industrial Robot and Smart Car
Located in the Power and Machines Hall on the 2nd floor of the Circular Building, the exhibition area employs a “scenario x technology x experience” display approach. Utilizing industrial robots, smart cars, and other physical objects, it creates a “smart manufacturing” environment. Through interactive robot devices, augmented reality (AR), and virtual reality (VR) technologies, visitors can gain an in-depth understanding of the device structure, technological development, and current applications of robots and smart vehicles.
  • Smart Household Appliance
    Smart Household Appliance
Located in the Science of Cooking hall on the 2nd floor of the Triangular Building, this exhibition area allows visitors to experience different cooking needs. Through engaging in interactive games, visitors can experience the power of the smart kitchen, discover the magic of the smart cooking table, learn about various smart cooking tools, and understand the concepts of healthy cooking and eating. Finally, visitors can even purchase and taste fried rice prepared by a robot chef.
  • Smart Health
    Smart Health
Located in The Adventures in Health Land on the 4th floor of the Triangular Building, this exhibition area allows visitors to assume roles like “care recipient” and “medical caregiver.” By entering simulated scenarios set up with relevant objects and diverse interactive devices, visitors can experience the actual operation and technical applications of smart healthcare. The exhibition uses a relatable and fun display format to stimulate visitors’ senses and guide them into the learning environment.
  • Smart Textile
    Smart Textile
Located in the Clothing Textile Technology Exploration Hall on the 4th floor of the Circular Building, this exhibition area highlights the key technology of smart systems, which involves collecting environmental and body information through various sensors, then analyzing the data and making corresponding decisions or actions. The exhibition invites visitors to play the role of a smart system’s core, extracting key information from various sensor data and providing appropriate responses. This offers a fresh perspective on how smart systems are changing our lives.
  • Smart Agriculture
    Smart Agriculture
Located in The Story of Taiwan Agriculture hall on the B3 floor of the Circular Building, the exhibition area presents the smart technology and technique of livestock barns in a fun way. Through interactive screens and simulated scanners, visitors can experience the daily operations of livestock farming. Using realistic models, it introduces micro-environment control, ear tags, and various sensing technologies applied in smart agriculture in an easy-to-understand manner. Real farm footage allows visitors to see scenes that are usually hard to access up close.
