Description
The new-generation Earthquake Experience House combines state-of-the-art earthquake simulation technology with disaster preparedness education. The platform is equipped with six servo actuators capable of reproducing the intense seismic shaking of destructive earthquakes. Visitors will experience integrated seismic waves simulating the powerful shaking of the 1999 Chi-Chi Earthquake, which reached a magnitude intensity of 7.
During the approximately 5-minute session, participants are guided through the “Drop, Cover, and Hold On” earthquake survival steps. This immersive experience transforms abstract safety concepts into practical action. Through realistic simulation, visitors learn to respond calmly and effectively during an earthquake, internalizing disaster awareness into real-life preparedness and evacuation behavior.
