Description

Step into the Happiness Station, board various modes of transportation across land, sea, and air, fulfilling your dream of traveling around Taiwan. Finally, complete your boarding procedures and embark on the flight towards the future and your dream, heading to the next destination of human civilization.

The Pavilion of Dream Transport showcases transportation history and construction projects through several transportation and touristic locations, such as Taipei Train Station, Pinlin , Taoyuan Airport, Hsinchu, Puli, Alishan, Cishan-Meinong Area, Formosa MRT Station, Kaohsiung Harbor, Fo Guang Shan, and Taitung. The display resembles a micro trip around the island of Taiwan. Many simulation driving games, involving trains, trolleys, oxcarts, motorcycles, buses, light rail trams and ships, allow participants to experience the characteristic of various modes of transportation and the importance of safety. The hall turns into a super fun yet safety-focused driving school!

This exhibition hall is suitable for elementary and middle school students as well as domestic and international tourists.

Please note that an iPASS card is required to activate the simulation driving games. On-site iPASS cards are available for rental, but only until 4:20pm.

  • Future Transportation Station
    Future Transportation Station
    In the future, what mode of transportation do you dream to travel with? This exhibit uses a theater presentation to demonstrate the advantages of a super-high-speed vacuum-tube train that breaks through the two-dimensional limitations of the earth’s surface, and the possibility of space planes as the primary vehicle for human interstellar colonization. It brings the audience unlimited imagination for future transportation.
  • Kaohsiung Light Rail Journey
    Kaohsiung Light Rail Journey
    This exhibit allows the public to drive the light rail tram through simulation experience and cruise through the Totoro Forest section, enjoying a journey along the lush Green Line. The operation of the train is different from that of ordinary cars and motorcycles. Various interactive tasks are used to strengthen the connection between the public and mass transit vehicles.
  • Coast Guard Vessel Tour
    Coast Guard Vessel Tour
    This exhibit provides simulation experiences of coast guard vessel operation. Through simulated scenery and interactive tasks, participants can immerse themselves in learning about ocean knowledge and marine conservation issues. They can also operate realistic steering gear and wheels through guidance to complete tasks one by one, and learn about sea navigation and marine conservation, completing missions of marine conservation.
  • Artifact Collection
    Artifact Collection
    The exhibited artifact, “Wooden Model of Train Brake Pads” and “ Wooden Model of Automatic Couplers” are displayed at the exhibition entrance area of “Happiness Station.”
