Climate Change(氣候變遷)

Climate change is an environmental issue that is both global and local, receiving continuous attention worldwide. The Ministry of Science and Technology has collaborated with the museum to establish the nation’s first permanent exhibition dedicated to climate change. It aims to inspire the public’s attention and interest in this issue, and to further enhance public awareness of environmental sustainability and disaster prevention. The entire exhibition is divided into five major areas, with various approaches such as scenario creation and hands-on interaction. It integrates scientific knowledge,  international perspectives, and local culture, guiding visitors into an environmental education theme park in an accessible and engaging way. The story begins with the “Earth Firefighting Team” searching for the lost fifth element: “Hello Earth” reveals the crises facing the blue planet. “Facing the Truth” explores the various causes of global warming and human impact on the environment. “Taiwan’s Challenges” showcases local observation data from Taiwan. “What Can We Do” educates visitors on how to save the Earth through alternative energy and carbon reduction efforts. Finally, “What’s Your Hope” allows visitors to take control of the future of the Earth. The target audience of this exhibition are families with children and students in higher grades of elementary school. Please pick up an “Element Collection Card” at the exhibition hall entrance to join the “Earth Firefighting Team.” Your mission is to cool down the Earth by collecting element stickers of sun, wind, water, earth, and people. Once you have collected all five elements, you can ride the elevated track vehicle. We look forward to your completion of this ultra mission of saving the Earth’s ecology!
